* Program: Vue 7.

* Development time: Months of toying, off and on.

* Custom textures and objects used throughout. 'Hyperterrain' object construction methodology created by :iconnukeation:.

* Render time: about an hour @ 1600x864, custom quality settings.

EDIT: Image updated AGAIN! Much better sea, more rock detail, more rocks, better lens-glare effect.

EDIT: Fixed a few glitches in post. No more versions! Never again! :)

Very nice lighting. What's your take on Vue vs. Bryce?

I've only seen and used old versions of Bryce. I understand (but aren't sure) Vue and Terragen have technology that far surpasses it: I can't say I've seen any modern looking Bryce images turn up lately.

All my stuff here and on my own site except the fractals is Bryce. They just released version 6.3. I'm happy with most Bryce things, but perhaps I'll look into Vue and Terragen as you say.

I can't remember the company name or the product name but the same people who make Bryce make another piece of software that does superb vegetation and natural outdoor scene (Carerra?).
